Every single Spurs fan from Kerala will tell you the story of how they thought they were the only Spurs fan in God’s own country. And they all speak the truth. In a land that loves football, all the love during the early 2000’s was for the national teams. You would find some supporters of the popular clubs in isolated areas, but that was it. So, if you hear a Spurs fan from Kerala narrating the story of how they met a fellow fan for the first time, be patient. It means a lot to them.
It was in the Orkut era that the first of us came to know that we were not alone. Since 2009, we have been working quietly in the background, conducting screenings, having online discussions and spamming the posts and spoiling the parties of other clubs. The Facebook page, Facebook group, WhatsApp group, Twitter/ X and Instagram accounts all followed in the coming years.
We conducted our first official screening in Kochi in 2014. Since then, we have been conducting regular screenings all across the state in Trivandrum, Calicut and Thrissur. We are also active in the UAE with our expat members over there. Our annual get-together is also something we look forward to every year, as fans from all over the state travel hundreds of kilometres to watch a match, play games and engage in other fun activities with fellow Spurs fans. We also have yearly awards like the FPL champ and the Fan Of The Year award for the contributions to the supporters club. We formed our own football team with our members in 2017 and started participating in tournaments. Every matchdays, we will gather together for football sessions after screenings. The supporters club has also been active in the society, helping those in need in times of distress. As such, we have grown to be one of the most respected fans in Kerala.
In the year 2019, we were recognised by THFC as an official Supporters Club.
